20 SEPTEMBER – 4 NOVEMBER 2018
The Palestinian Film Festival Australia is a social impact initiative dedicated to building cultural understanding and promoting Palestinian arts and culture in a multicultural Australian context.
Showcasing and celebrating the very best of Palestinian cinema, the festival has been running for ten years with broad community interest and support.
This year’s Palestinian Film Festival Australia design (please see above) is inspired by Hisham’s Palace, an archaeological site in Jericho, Palestine. Jericho is about 10,000 years old and one of the world’s oldest continuously inhabited cities.
We chose Hisham’s Palace window for its powerful historic, cultural and symbolic value in looking at Palestine’s past, present and future and reflecting on the 70th Anniversary of Al Nakba with continued hope and resilience.
